Start of History
The company started in a small building located in Elche, where it was founded by Mr. José Boix, with the unconditional support of his wife, Dña. Mª Luisa Sebastián. It began servicing equipment in different sectors, including auxiliary footwear machinery.Â
Factories that were located in the area used these machines. In most cases, they did not have their own technical service or the manufacturer’s service, which meant a very good work opportunity for a mechanical workshop with small resources but the capacity to manufacture parts to drawings.
Foundation
Thanks to ingenuity and a vision to develop mechanical solutions, he started a small company called “José Boix Jaén” in 1973.Â
Under this commercial name, the first shoebox forming and assembly machine was manufactured. At that moment, the history of what we know today as Boix Maquinaria began to take shape.
Projection
When Mr. José Boix retired in 2011, his children, Fran, Rosa, and Juan Antonio, took over the company, ushering in a new generation of leadership.
They are committed to continuing international expansion, the development of new product lines and services, as well as maintaining the values and principles that have always characterised our company.
Present
Now, Boix Maquinaria has expanded worldwide, with 6 subsidiaries strategically located in various countries: the USA, the Netherlands, China, Chile, Mexico, and India. This way, we can deliver better and faster service to our customers located across the globe.
Our dedication has brought us closer to our customers and helped us become widely known in multiple sectors, especially agriculture. To this day, we continue to write our history and to develop better innovations for our machines to be used in various industries.
