Boix Demo Days, over the course of four dynamic days in Nordhorn, Germany, Boix Europe opened its doors to customers, partners and industry professionals for an in-depth, hands-on experience of the latest developments in cardboard packaging innovations automation.\u00a0<\/p>

What made these Demo Days stand out was not just the technology on display, but the quality of conversations, the practical insights shared, and the clear sense of where the industry is heading.<\/p>

Unlike traditional trade fairs, the Nordhorn setting offered something more valuable: time and space for meaningful dialogue. Visitors didn\u2019t just pass by, they stayed, explored and engaged.\u00a0<\/p>

While Boix has long been active in sectors such as fresh produce (Agriculture), e-commerce, meat and bakery, there is still a growing sense of opportunity within these sectors.\u00a0<\/p>

The conversations in Nordhorn made one thing clear: the demand for efficient, sustainable and automated solutions is accelerating.<\/p>

Packaging innovation\u00a0<\/b>in action<\/strong><\/h2>

One of the key advantages of the Demo Days format was the opportunity to see machines running live, within complete production lines. Among the highlights was the HAT MINI lid forming machine, a compact solution that has been gaining traction since its introduction.\u00a0<\/p>

Originally developed for e-commerce applications, automated lid forming is now proving its value in the food sector as well. By working with flat-packed materials, companies can significantly optimise logistics, reduce storage space and improve operational efficiency.\u00a0<\/p>

For larger growers and packers, especially in segments such as peppers, aubergines and cucumbers, these types of automated lines are becoming increasingly relevant as labour pressures and cost considerations continue to grow.<\/p>

Another eye-catching development was the collaboration with Green OX, resulting in a machine capable of producing robust cardboard pallets with a load capacity of up to 1,200 kg.<\/p>

Visitors were also given an early look at a new topseal solution designed for closing cardboard punnets, such as those used for mushrooms, soft fruit and snack vegetables. Although still under development, the interest it generated was unmistakable.\u00a0<\/p>
